Curious As A Cat: Week Number 495

1) Just like "Everybody Wang Chung tonight!", what action would your name be if it were a verb?

~ Contemplating the who's, what's, why's, how's and when's of life

2) Tell us about your favorite way to get lost in a simple activity — running, chopping vegetables, folding laundry, whatever. What’s it like when you’re in "the zone"?

~ I like zoning out playing certain game apps. My mind faces the challenge with passion on some. On some it takes in the flow of the moment.

3) How did you feel when your parents got upset with you? What was one of the things that caused them to be upset?

~ They would get upset when my room was a mess, which was quite often! I would feel afraid, I didn't like to see, or hear, them being upset. But it never got my room clean any faster.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

~ I think about how nice it would be here. I love being near the water, be it the ocean, the seas, lakes. I love watching the waves, hearing the surf, smelling the air.

Saturday 9: It Don't Come Easy (1971)

1) This was Ringo's first big hit as a solo artist. Who is your favorite member of his old, very famous group, The Beatles?

~~ I'd have to say both Paul McCartney & John Lennon. Paul because he was just so cute! John because of his depth and intelligence.

2) In this song, Ringo sings that you have to pay your dues. Do you belong to any organizations that require you to pay dues?

~~ Nope. But this does remind me of when I was a young tyke and in the Brownies. At the beginning of each meeting we would have to put our dues in the troops "piggy bank" and say "Clink clank, clink clank, the Brownie gold goes in the bank" and the girl scouts oath while facing the group. It was so "official" to this youngster!

3) He also sings, "you don't have to shout." When did you last raise your voice?

~~ Something did cause me to do that within the past few weeks, I just can't remember what it was!

4) Ringo has two piercings on each ear and one tattoo on each arm. Do you have more piercings or body art?

~~ Piercings. Two in each ear, no body art.

5) Ringo gave his first wife, Maureen, a one-of-a-kind birthday gift. Frank Sinatra made a recording of "The Lady Is a Tramp" personalized to her. Tell us about one of your most memorable birthday celebrations.

~~ One of my most memorable birthday celebrations was going to Cedar Points Halloween program with a guy I liked, back in 2001! It was the last day of their season, it was my 37th birthday. It was slightly chilly that day, going on the coasters and feeling that chill whip by made it seem even colder. I had a great time with this guy, it's a nice memory.

6) Ringo appeared as Mr. Conductor on Thomas the Tank Engine. He recorded the narration for the entire first season in just a week. Tell us what you did last week.

~~ Attended dialysis, occupational therapy, and vegetated.

7) Ringo also did the narration for Ladybird children's books. Do you like audiobooks?

~~ I do. Though I must also say I've never listened to an entire one. I do like to close my eyes, listen, and picture what's being said. As long as I like the readers voice.

8) As a boy in Liverpool, Ringo loved watching American westerns. His passion for the genre is reflected in the outfit he's wearing on the sleeve for "It Don't Come Easy." Do you like cowboy movies/shows?

~~ Nope, never did. I've always found them to be boring.

9) You know what else don't come easy? Nine questions every week. Crazy Sam has heard it all: this meme asks too many movie questions, too many questions about sports, too many questions that sound familiar ...  OK, now it's your turn. Help a tired meme mistress out. Contribute a random question that is not about movies or sports (pro or collegiate) and has never been asked before on this meme. Sam will compile these for an all-random Saturday 9 in November. That way she'll get a much-appreciated week off. Thanks for your help!

~~ ~~ November is National Novel Writing month so I'd include things like
If you could experience the events of any novel, which novel would you chose?
If you could chose any experience of your life to be written about in a novel, which event would you choose?
Which novel author would you be interested in reading a biography about?
If you were to write a novel, what would the story be about? What genre would it be?
